A good thing done wrong, however, is no longer a good thing. That's why at Schmidt Construction, we build our walls with a specific method assuring that our work is still standing decades to come, no matter how crazy that Nebraskan weather gets! 

The secret to our success with walls:
  • We start by back filling our wall with 2"rock and install a drain tile on the inside bottom to alleviate water pressure
  • We design the wall so that water goes over and not through it.
  • We use clean, recycled rock behind the wall. Water puts pressure on the retaining wall but the 2 inch rock allows the water to percolate into the drain tile.That eliminates pressure on the wall.
